The Fort Kochi health circle office, once marred by garbage and foul odors, has been transformed into one of the most aesthetically pleasing health offices in the Kochi Corporation. This remarkable change is attributed to the hard work of 38 dedicated staff members and local artists who collaborated under the Queen City Clean City campaign, which focuses on converting waste into art. Over a span of three to four weeks, the team removed waste and created artistic installations from discarded materials, such as tyres and an unused country boat. The office now features a fresh coat of paint and is maintained in a clean state, with daily garbage disposal ensuring a hygienic environment. Health inspector M.S. Shaji, who initiated the beautification project, noted the positive response from visitors and the local community, stating that pride in the office has been restored. The initiative has been recognized by the Mayor, and Shaji will retire at the end of the month, leaving behind a legacy of positive change.
