On the eve of International Nurses Day, celebrated on May 12, nurses in Jaipur, Rajasthan, paid tribute to Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing, at SMS Hospital. The event featured a candlelight ceremony where nurses, faculty members, and students from various nursing institutions honored Nightingale with floral tributes. Baldev Singh Chaudhary, president of the Rajasthan Nurses Association in Jaipur, emphasized the importance of the occasion. Nursing superintendent Banne Singh Meena led the ceremony, administering an oath to nurses to embody Nightingale's ideals of selfless service. At Zenana Hospital, speakers acknowledged the crucial role of nurses in newborn care, highlighting their dedication and contributions to society.
