Advocate K Sunitha Vinod has been appointed as the Special Government Pleader at the Kerala High Court, marking a significant milestone in her legal career following her battle with leukaemia. Diagnosed two years ago, Sunitha underwent a rigorous treatment regimen at Amrita Hospital and successfully overcame the illness. Her new role is seen as a recognition of her resilience and serves as an inspiration to others facing similar challenges. With a law degree from the Government Law College, Ernakulam, Sunitha has a diverse legal background, having worked as a junior advocate and later establishing her independent practice. She has held various positions, including Central Government Standing Counsel and Senior Government Pleader. Sunitha's appointment fills the Special Government Pleader position allocated to the JSS party, and she has also represented several state entities. She is married and has two children, both of whom are pursuing professional careers.
