Following a heavy 103-run defeat to the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra emphasized that MI has struggled without Sharma's leadership and performance. Key players, including Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya, have not delivered consistent results, with Yadav managing only 157 runs in seven matches and Pandya scoring 97 runs in six matches. In their recent match, MI was bundled out for just 104 runs while chasing a target of 208, showcasing the team's batting woes. Chopra also pointed out the need for better support for Jasprit Bumrah in the bowling department as MI currently sits in eighth place with just four points from seven matches. They are set to face Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on April 29 in a crucial match.
