India's women wrestlers showcased extraordinary talent at the U17 Asian Wrestling Championships 2026 held in Da Nang, Vietnam, achieving a flawless 100% podium finish. The team secured a total of 10 medals: 2 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze. Diksha and Garima led the team by clinching gold medals in their respective weight categories of 43kg and 73kg. The silver medals were earned by Nikita (49kg), Antra (65kg), and Taniya (69kg), with Taniya narrowly missing gold in a competitive final. The bronze medalists included Palak (40kg), Anamika (46kg), Akshra (53kg), Sakshi (57kg), and Manya (61kg), all of whom delivered strong performances to secure their spots on the podium. This remarkable achievement reinforces India's position as a dominant force in women's wrestling at the youth level in Asia. Additionally, the Indian men's freestyle team had a stellar outing at the U23 Asian Wrestling Championships, securing the championship title with a total of 27 medals, including 11 gold.
