Priced at $500, these over-ear headphones feature a luxurious design with textured vegan leather and stainless steel accents. The ear cups are slimmer, and the headband is wider for better fit, although the headphones are heavier at 11.2 oz (320 g) compared to their predecessor. Audio enhancements include the latest DSEE sound processing and an upgraded V3 chip, promising clearer sound with a richer soundstage. However, reviewers noted that the active noise cancellation (ANC) is not as effective as the WH-1000XM6 due to a less effective seal from the ear pads.
