On Tuesday, a 25-year-old migrant worker, Seeta Ram, originally from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, was found dead in Mandiyani village, Ludhiana, with multiple stab wounds. Local police reported that the body showed signs of a violent attack, suggesting he was assaulted with a sharp-edged weapon. Seeta Ram had been living in Khanna for nearly five years and was employed at a local transport business owned by Sukhwinder Singh. Prior to his death, he had expressed concerns for his safety to his father, Virender Thakur, indicating he had received threats related to rumors of eloping with a woman. Witnesses noted that he had been drinking with acquaintances the night before. The police have detained several suspects and are investigating all possible angles, including personal enmity. Despite the circumstances surrounding his death, no formal complaints regarding the alleged elopement were filed with the police. Authorities are actively working to identify and apprehend the individuals responsible for this crime.
