Hazel’s House Animal Rescue, located in Newberg, Oregon, has initiated a lawsuit against Revival Animal Health after five puppies from a litter developed serious bone disorders, specifically rickets, allegedly due to the Breeder’s Edge Foster Care puppy formula. The lawsuit, filed in Multnomah County Circuit Court, seeks $150,000 to cover medical treatments, including orthopedic surgeries. The puppies, named after characters from 'The Brady Bunch,' were found abandoned and had been exclusively fed the formula, which was previously trusted by the rescue. Tests indicated that the formula contained irregular levels of Vitamin D, leading to the puppies' health issues. Revival Animal Health voluntarily recalled the product in April following complaints and FDA testing results. The rescue has also launched a GoFundMe page aiming to raise $100,000, but has only garnered about $4,400 so far. Revival stated they were in negotiations with the rescue prior to the lawsuit and expressed their commitment to animal health.
