Keane Carter, a 25-year-old man from Fordbridge, has been sentenced to five years and 11 months in prison following his involvement in a violent assault at a Birmingham bar last September. The victim of the attack, which occurred on Broad Street, suffered serious head injuries. Following extensive investigations, including CCTV analysis, police identified Carter as the assailant. During a warrant executed at Carter's residence in Solihull on November 21, law enforcement uncovered a sawn-off shotgun and 13 cartridges, leading to additional firearms charges. Carter was arrested and subsequently pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm in January and inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent in February. His sentencing took place at Birmingham Crown Court on May 21, where he received a substantial prison term for his crimes, reflecting the serious nature of both the assault and the firearms offenses.
