Despite this decline, TCS's Chief Human Resource Officer, Sudeep Kunnummal, announced that the company has concluded its layoff cycle and is shifting focus towards aggressive hiring, with plans to onboard around 40,000 fresh graduates annually. In FY26, TCS onboarded 44,000 trainees and added 2,356 employees in the latest quarter, supported by both lateral hiring and fresher onboarding. The companyβs financial performance showed a 12% increase in net profit to βΉ13,718 crore and a 9.6% rise in revenue to βΉ70,698 crore for the March quarter.
