The Los Angeles Angels have placed left-handed pitcher Yusei Kikuchi on the 15-day injured list due to shoulder inflammation. Kikuchi, 34, was diagnosed with shoulder tightness after being removed from a game against the Chicago White Sox. An MRI conducted on his left shoulder revealed inflammation, and Angels general manager Perry Minasian mentioned that further evaluations are pending. Kikuchi had a tough season, going 0-3 with a 5.81 ERA in seven starts, following an All-Star season last year. In his career, Kikuchi has a record of 48-61 with a 4.50 ERA over 206 appearances. He will be replaced by Tayler Saucedo, who is set to make his Angels debut after being called up from Triple-A Salt Lake. Saucedo, 32, has a career record of 5-2 with a 4.36 ERA over 148 relief appearances.
