The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (UP-ATS) has arrested two individuals, Tushar Chauhan (alias Hizbullah Khan) from Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh, and Sameer Khan from Delhi, for their alleged involvement in anti-India activities linked to Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). The arrests were made following intelligence reports that the accused were in contact with Pakistan-based gangster networks and were planning to execute disruptive operations in India. During the operation, UP-ATS recovered a .32 bore pistol, five live cartridges, and a mobile phone from the suspects. The investigation revealed that the accused communicated with gangster Shahzad Bhatti and others via encrypted channels, receiving instructions to recruit individuals for extremist activities. They were reportedly motivated through social media to carry out unlawful actions, including targeting specific individuals as per Bhatti's directives. A case has been registered at the ATS Police Station in Lucknow under multiple sections of Indian law, including the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Further investigations are ongoing to identify additional associates and gather more evidence against the suspects.
