The ANC Women’s League (ANCWL) is currently evaluating its response to the Integrity Commission's report that found its president, Sisisi Tolashe, guilty of misconduct in public office. This meeting, taking place in Boksburg, follows pressure from the ANC National Executive Committee (NEC) for Tolashe to resign. Tolashe was previously removed from her role as Minister of Social Development due to allegations involving two luxury SUVs donated by Chinese officials, which were reportedly registered in her adult children's names. Despite the findings, ANCWL secretary-general Nokuthula Nqaba stated that Tolashe has not expressed any intention to step down. Nqaba emphasized that the league is not solely addressing Tolashe's actions but is also considering the integrity of the organization as a whole. The ANCWL has accepted the Integrity Commission's findings and is awaiting further directives from the ANC leadership regarding Tolashe's future in the party. ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula has indicated that the party will grant the league the necessary space to deliberate and reach a decision.
