Gabriella 'Gabbi' Carballo, a physician from Cebu, Philippines, has made a significant mark at the Miss Eco International 2026 pageant by winning the 'Evening Wear Top Model' award during the preliminary competition held on May 20 in Alexandria, Egypt. Carballo, adorned in a stunning green gown designed by Philipp Tampus, received her accolade from reigning queen Alexie Brooks. The event, however, faced delays, starting two hours later than scheduled. Carballo also excelled in other segments, placing second in both the Fitness Day Challenge and Talent Competition. In the Eco Dress competition, she showcased a poignant gown crafted from recycled materials, inspired by the Binaliw landslide tragedy in Cebu. This creation not only highlighted the consequences of environmental neglect but also served as a reminder of the human impact on nature. The final competition will take place on May 22, where Brooks will crown her successor among 49 contestants from around the globe.
