In a historic first, the Maccabiah will open its celebrations to the general public with a five-day sports festival named 'Expo Maccabiah City' at Expo Tel Aviv from July 6-10, 2026. This event aims to create an indoor Olympic Village atmosphere, featuring a wide range of activities, exhibitions, and entertainment suitable for families. Daily operations will run from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with tickets priced at 49 NIS. The festival will include attractions such as a Children's Maccabiah adventure park, the 2026 Israeli Ninja Championship, and Israel's largest sports exhibition, Sport-TECH, showcasing innovations in fitness and sports technology. Additional experiences will involve Olympic athletes, interactive gaming, and a dedicated area for younger children. A Maccabiah Museum will provide insights into Jewish sporting history, enhancing the cultural aspect of the festival. Roy Hessing, CEO of the Maccabiah, highlighted the initiative's focus on making the Maccabiah experience accessible to all families in Israel, promoting community engagement with the event.
