The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) has announced that the southwest monsoon, referred to as 'habagat', will bring rain to several regions in Luzon on Thursday. Leanne Loreto, a weather specialist at Pagasa, indicated that rainfall will primarily affect Northern and Central Luzon, along with the western parts of Southern Luzon. In contrast, the Calabarzon (comprising Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon) and Mimaropa (including Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan) regions are expected to see cloudy conditions. Meanwhile, the Visayas and Mindanao regions will generally enjoy fair weather, although sudden rain showers may occur due to localized thunderstorms. Additionally, Pagasa is keeping an eye on a low pressure area located outside the Philippine area of responsibility, which could impact future weather conditions.
