During a closed-door event in Chennai, the Tamilaga Vivasayigal Katchi (TVK) party, headed by Vijay, launched its first election manifesto focused on administrative reform. Key proposals include the doorstep delivery of government benefits and legally binding timeframes for essential public services, ensuring efficiency and accessibility. The party aims to establish a USD 1.5 trillion economy by 2036, enhancing the ease of doing business by promising commercial licenses within 21 days. Additionally, the manifesto outlines a ₹15,000 crore safety net for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and proposes exclusive master plans for each district to foster holistic growth. Vijay also addressed labor concerns by pledging to regularize all contract workers with five years of service and promising equal pay. The manifesto introduces a legally backed Minimum Support Price (MSP) for fish, covering various species, and sets MSPs for farmers at ₹3,500 per quintal for paddy and ₹4,500 per tonne for sugarcane.
