Defence Minister Rajnath Singh laid the foundation stone for the AMCA programme in Andhra Pradesh, aimed at delivering India’s fifth-generation stealth fighter capability. The launch took place in Puttaparthi alongside Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.The project is estimated at ₹15,803 crore and is expected to generate nearly 7,500 jobs. A key pillar of the programme will be the Aircraft Integration and Flight Testing Centre, to be developed and operated by the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA).
