Microsoft is addressing user confusion stemming from its various AI assistants by developing a super app that consolidates these features into a single platform. Currently, users face challenges choosing between different Copilot applications, including a standard consumer version and a Microsoft Office-integrated version. During a recent internal town hall, CEO Satya Nadella acknowledged the issue, humorously suggesting that having a billion users for each app could solve the confusion. The planned super app is expected to integrate functionalities from GitHub Copilot for coding, Copilot Chat for conversational AI, and an unreleased Autopilot tool for automated workflows. Additionally, the app will allow users to easily switch between personal and work accounts. Reports indicate that the super app could be unveiled to the public by the end of summer 2025, spearheaded by Jacob Andreou, who is leading the initiative under the motto 'Delivering one Copilot.' Notably, OpenAI is also rumored to be developing a similar integrated solution.
