During the recent Assembly election in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, an innovative initiative was launched at the Anna Nagar Model Polling Booth to ease childcare stress for parents. Rumana N., a mother of twins, expressed her relief upon discovering a designated kids' play area at the polling center. Initially worried about managing her children while voting, she found comfort knowing her kids could play safely while she cast her vote. The play area featured several attractions, including eight wheeled horses and a seesaw, which delighted the children and allowed parents to focus on the voting process. This initiative aims to create a more family-friendly voting environment, encouraging higher participation among parents.
