Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the Mundka-Bakkarwala toll plaza on Delhi's Urban Extension Road-II, marking it as India's second barrier-less toll facility. This new Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) system allows vehicles to pass through toll points without stopping, utilizing overhead sensors and cameras for real-time toll deductions. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) plans to roll out this technology across 17 toll plazas in nine states by September 2026, with an additional 108 plazas to follow by March 2027. Motorists are advised to pay any pending tolls within 72 hours to avoid incurring double charges. To ensure seamless travel, NHAI recommends keeping FASTag active and maintaining a sufficient balance in the FASTag wallet.
