Apple is planning a substantial overhaul of its Camera app in the upcoming iOS 27, as reported by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. The changes aim to provide both professional and hobbyist photographers with enhanced customization options. Users will have the ability to modify the interface to suit their preferences, swapping default controls for new widgets that manage settings like resolution and flash. Notably, advanced features such as depth-of-field and exposure controls will also be integrated. Additionally, Apple is expected to introduce AI enhancements that will power new editing tools and a revamped Siri mode, making it easier to access AI features directly within the Camera app. Siri will also see a significant redesign, moving its animation to the Dynamic Island and allowing for a new 'Search or Ask' interface that supports both text and voice input. Other minor updates will affect Safari and the Weather app, with WWDC 2026 scheduled to unveil these features starting June 8.
