Sheikh Hamza Yusuf, President of Zaytuna College, addressed the congregation, promoting unity and cautioning against the dangers of divisiveness and hate in the current political climate. Dublin City Council member Kashef Qaadri highlighted the dual nature of the holiday as a time for both celebration and reflection amidst recent tragic events. Despite the somber tone, organizers noted that the turnout demonstrated the community's resilience and commitment to their traditions, with Latif affirming that their practices would continue regardless of challenges.
