A recent study by Madrí Excepcional has found that the perfect time for a casual catch-up among friends in the UK is 84 minutes. This timeframe allows friends to discuss important topics such as family (51%), gossip (48%), work updates (45%), relationships (43%), and upcoming holidays (43%). Despite the desire for more frequent meet-ups, with 73% of respondents wishing for casual interactions, only 18% manage to meet friends for a drink at least once a week. The study highlights barriers such as busy schedules (43%), fatigue after work (30%), and travel times (20%). To encourage relaxed socializing, Madrí Excepcional has opened a pop-up micropub named The Squeeze It Inn outside Boxpark in Shoreditch, London. This venue celebrates the spirit of Madrid and offers Spanish-style snacks and conversation prompts. Anca Secara, the marketing controller for the brand, noted that the warmer weather increases the desire for impromptu plans, which inspired the pop-up's creation.
