Kanye West, the US rapper also known as Ye, performed a two-hour concert in Istanbul's Ataturk Olympic Stadium on Saturday night, drawing an impressive audience of 118,000 fans. This event marked his first performance in Europe since 2014 and his debut in Turkey. Despite facing bans from several countries, including the UK, France, and Poland, due to his past antisemitic comments and controversial statements, West attracted a diverse crowd, with attendees from various countries including Britain, Germany, and Italy. His remarks, which included praise for Adolf Hitler and the release of content featuring Nazi imagery, have led to widespread cancellations of his shows across Europe. In April, he was denied entry to the UK, resulting in the cancellation of his planned appearance at the Wireless Festival. Following public backlash, West took out a full-page advertisement in the Wall Street Journal in January, renouncing his past admiration for Hitler and attributing his behavior to a brain injury and untreated bipolar disorder. He is set to continue his tour with upcoming performances in the Netherlands.
