The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has restructured the portfolios of its four deputy governors following the appointment of Rohit Jain as deputy governor for a term of three years. Jain, who previously served as executive director at RBI, will oversee several departments, including the Corporate Strategy and Budget Department, Department of External Investments and Operations, and the Fintech Department. Swaminathan, the senior-most deputy governor, will manage the Department of Supervision and the Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation, among others.
