Students from various colleges in Delhi, including Delhi University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, and Jamia Millia Islamia, gathered at Jantar Mantar for a protest organized by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). They demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan due to concerns over examination irregularities and paper leaks. Protesters carried placards with slogans like “Cockroaches do not ruin lives, BJP does,” reflecting their frustrations with the current education system. While many attendees were affiliated with student organizations such as the All India Students’ Association (AISA), they participated in their individual capacities and expressed caution regarding any formal endorsement of the CJP. Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expressed solidarity with the students, urging the government to address their concerns. However, some student leaders voiced apprehensions about the movement's potential ties to the Aam Aadmi Party and whether it would expand its focus beyond education issues to include broader societal concerns like unemployment.
