Political strategist Prashant Kishor's prediction regarding the Tamil Maanila Congress (TVK) has gained traction as the party, led by actor Vijay, shows unexpected electoral strength in Tamil Nadu. During an interview with Thanthi TV in March 2024, Kishor asserted that if Vijay contested independently, he had a strong chance of winning Tamil Nadu, even suggesting that the TVK could secure 98 to 120 seats in the assembly. This forecast was met with skepticism at the time, given the party's inexperience and Vijay's lack of political background. However, as of now, reports indicate that Vijay is leading in 111 constituencies, defying earlier exit polls that favored the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party led by MK Stalin. Kishor’s comments have resurfaced online, prompting discussions about the potential impact of TVK's performance in the upcoming elections. Kishor clarified that while he has a friendship with Vijay, he does not serve as a political advisor to the party, emphasizing shared values over formal association.
