Ali Matta has been promoted to the position of director of basketball operations for the Butler Bulldogs men's basketball team, under the leadership of first-year head coach Ronald Nored. Matta, who is the daughter of former Butler coach Thad Matta, previously served as an administrative assistant for three seasons. In her new role, she will handle various responsibilities, including operations, travel, budgeting, recruiting, and game day logistics. Nored expressed gratitude for Matta's commitment to the program, highlighting her strong relationships within the athletics department. Matta, a Butler graduate from the class of 2021, has always dreamed of working in college basketball, stating, "It's college basketball, I love it. I'm going to be watching one way or another, so I might as well be a part of it."
