The upcoming sports drama 'Peddi', featuring Janhvi Kapoor and Ram Charan, has stirred controversy over its dance number 'Hellallallo', with some critics labeling the choreography as vulgar. In an exclusive interview, both stars expressed their surprise at the backlash, stating they were 'blissfully unaware' of the negative reactions. Janhvi Kapoor defended the song, asserting that it fits within the film's context and is not meant to be obscene. She emphasized the importance of trusting the director's vision and noted that the dance is energetic and expressive, akin to styles seen in both Hindi cinema and Western pop culture. Ram Charan echoed her sentiments, stressing that their intentions were pure and aligned with the character's requirements. He compared his enjoyment of 'Hellallallo' to that of performing the hit song 'Naatu Naatu'. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, 'Peddi' is scheduled for release on June 4 and also stars Shruti Haasan, Dr Shiva Rajkumar, and Boman Irani.
