Following these remarks, the Bihar State Commission for Women issued a notice to Yadav, demanding an explanation within three days. Yadav defended his statements, asserting that he was discussing the broader issues of exploitation in politics rather than targeting individuals. His comments have drawn significant backlash, particularly from female lawmakers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who described his remarks as deeply offensive and harmful to women's dignity. BJP MLA Maithili Thakur emphasized that women have fought hard for their place in society and called for an apology from Yadav, warning that silence from the Congress party would indicate complicity.
