A significant 34% of these individuals believe they are healthy enough to forgo coverage. Financial obligations play a crucial role, with 33% of those who lapse holding personal loans and 17% having home loans, suggesting that equated monthly instalments (EMIs) and other fixed costs are prioritizing over insurance spending. Affordability remains a significant concern, as 46% of respondents cited it as a reason for discontinuing their policies. This trend poses a risk to their long-term financial stability, as lacking health insurance can lead to substantial financial setbacks in the event of medical emergencies.
