Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee is set to meet Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to discuss an alleged attack he faced in Sonarpur, South 24 Parganas, where he was assaulted with bricks, stones, and eggs while visiting families affected by post-poll violence. Banerjee sustained injuries and has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of orchestrating the attack, which he describes as an attempt on his life and a form of 'state-sponsored terrorism.'
