Wipro, India's fourth-largest software exporter, reported a 0.3% decline in revenue for FY26, marking its third consecutive year of contraction. This decline is a significant improvement from the 3.2% drop recorded in FY24, primarily due to securing $16.4 billion in new contracts, up from $14.3 billion the previous year. However, the company anticipates either flat revenue or a 2% drop in the first quarter of FY27, attributed to slower client demand and delays in ramping up a major project. The operating margin decreased by 30 basis points to 17.3% in the March quarter, influenced by salary increases and specific client issues. Despite these challenges, Wipro's stock has appreciated nearly 10% over the past month, benefiting from a weaker Indian rupee which enhances earnings.
