The much-anticipated sequel, Tumbbad 2, is generating buzz with the news that Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt will join the cast for a pivotal cameo role alongside Sohum Shah and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The film, directed by Adesh Prasad, aims to expand on the eerie mythology surrounding the deity Hastar, promising a more intense narrative than its predecessor. Bhatt is scheduled to shoot her scenes on May 3, 2024, before heading to the Met Gala the following day. The production is reportedly taking place in Madh Island, with plans for a tightly organized shoot. Tumbbad 2 is set to release on December 3, 2027, while Alia is also working on another project, Love & War, which is expected to hit theaters in January 2027.
