In an impressive display of golf, Shubhankar Sharma fired an eight-under 64 during the third round of the inaugural Rs 1 crore Boulders Classic at Boulder Hills Golf & Country Club in Hyderabad. The 29-year-old, who has previously won twice on the DP World Tour, now holds a commanding seven-shot lead with a total score of 20-under 196. His round included nine birdies and just one bogey, allowing him to match the course record set by Honey Baisoya the day before. Tied for second place are Rashid Khan from Delhi, Angad Cheema from Chandigarh, and Vishesh Sharma from Hyderabad, all at 13-under 203. Sharma expressed satisfaction with his performance, stating, “I played really solid today — probably hit it the best I have all week.” This tournament marks Sharma's return to competitive play after a long hiatus since the Tour Championship in Jamshedpur in December 2021, with his last victory on tour dating back to December 2017.
