In a significant achievement under the NIPUN Bharat Mission, 32,480 primary schools in Uttar Pradesh have been recognized as proficient, with at least 80% of students in Classes 1 and 2 meeting the expected proficiency levels in language and mathematics. Each of these schools will receive ₹50,000 (roughly $600 USD) in financial assistance to enhance educational materials and infrastructure. The assessment, conducted by trainees from the Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd), is praised for its transparency and real-world grounding. Top districts showcasing exceptional performance include Hardoi with 1,002 schools, followed by Aligarh (969), Shahjahanpur (916), Maharajganj (874), and Kheri (830). Additionally, the initiative has strengthened digital learning, distributing tablets to 261,000 teachers and bolstering infrastructure in 132,000 schools. The 'School Chalo Abhiyan' campaign has successfully enrolled 1.32 million children for the 2024-25 session, with further enrollment projected for 2025-26.
