In a tragic event in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, Nikhil Arora, a 30-year-old man, and his pet dog were found dead in his locked home. Initial investigations suggest that Arora may have poisoned his dog before taking his own life with a toxic substance. Relatives revealed that Arora had been struggling with significant financial and emotional burdens after losing his job during the COVID-19 pandemic. He had also faced personal losses, with his father passing away in 2015 and his mother succumbing to cancer in 2021. The family had to sell their home due to financial strain, and Arora was reportedly under pressure to repay borrowed money. Concern arose when his cousin, Dheeraj Kumar, was unable to contact him and subsequently discovered the locked house. Police have launched an investigation, and the exact cause of death will be determined following the post-mortem report.
