Bajaj Finserv reported a consolidated net profit of ₹2,539 crore for the March quarter of FY26, reflecting a 5% increase from ₹2,417 crore in the same quarter last year. Interest income surged by 17% year-on-year to reach ₹21,018 crore, while total income rose by 21% to ₹14,209 crore. The company’s board has proposed a dividend of ₹1.50 per equity share, amounting to ₹240 crore, which will be distributed by August 4, 2026, in honor of the Bajaj Group's centenary. Bajaj Finance, part of Bajaj Finserv, announced a 45 basis point increase in interest rates for its fixed deposits, effective May 1, 2026, with senior citizens earning up to 7.75% on deposits. The assets under management for Bajaj Finance grew by 22% to ₹5.09 trillion compared to ₹4.17 trillion in Q4 FY25. In the insurance sector, Bajaj General Insurance reported a gross written premium of ₹4,322 crore, while Bajaj Life Insurance saw a 26% rise in new business premium to ₹4,757 crore. The performance was slightly affected by market volatility and one-time provisions.
