This optimism follows a record-breaking May 2026, where overall sales increased by 9.55% year-on-year, totaling 2,531,067 units sold, marking the best performance for passenger vehicles, three-wheelers, and tractors. FADA President C S Vigneshwar noted that despite challenges like heatwaves and fuel price increases, the auto retail sector maintained its growth trajectory. The upcoming southwest monsoon and Kharif sowing are expected to bolster rural cash flows and demand.
