Additionally, government agencies must publish records of public interest, such as budget expenditures and contracts exceeding ₱50 million (approximately $880,000 USD). However, matters related to national security and law enforcement will remain confidential. Meanwhile, Senate Bill No. 1981, introduced by Senator Bam Aquino, seeks to address classroom shortages in public schools by implementing a voucher system that allows students to transfer to participating private schools. This initiative is designed to alleviate overcrowding and improve access to education across the country.
