The Buffalo Grove Rotary and the Buffalo Grove Community Foundation have announced the awarding of nearly $30,000 in grants to 20 local nonprofits as part of their annual Community Grant Program. This initiative, which has been in partnership since 2024, focuses on enhancing quality of life in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. The funding is sourced from proceeds of community events such as Buffalo Grove Days and the Rotary Duck Race. The grants will support various organizations involved in education, health, social services, and emergency response. Notable recipients include the Community Consolidated School District 21, the Buffalo Grove Community Emergency Response Team, and the Cancer Wellness Center, among others. Buffalo Grove Rotary President Juliet Ziak highlighted the organization's commitment to service, stating, 'As Rotarians, we abide by the motto of ‘service above self’ and are people of action.'
