KL Rahul made history on Tuesday evening at Arun Jaitley Stadium by becoming the first player in the Indian Premier League (IPL) to score over 1000 runs for three different teams. He achieved this milestone while playing for Delhi Capitals (DC), reaching 1002 runs in just 24 matches. This remarkable feat was completed during the sixth over of DC's innings against Kolkata Knight Riders, where he hit a boundary off Kartik Tyagi. Previously, Rahul scored 2548 runs for Punjab Kings from 2018 to 2021 and 1410 runs for Lucknow Super Giants from 2022 to 2024. Additionally, he set a record for being the fastest player to reach 1000 runs for DC in just 23 innings, surpassing the previous record of 35 innings held by JP Duminy and Rishabh Pant. Currently, Rahul is the third-highest run-scorer in IPL 2026 with 468 runs at a strike rate of 180.
