In response to the ongoing crisis in West Asia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the need for citizens to use petroleum products like petrol, gas, and diesel with restraint. During a virtual event inaugurating projects worth approximately ₹9,400 crore (roughly $1.1 billion USD) in Telangana, he highlighted that conserving imported fuel would help save foreign exchange and mitigate economic shocks. Modi encouraged a return to work-from-home practices established during the COVID-19 pandemic, stating that these measures are in the national interest. He also advised postponing gold purchases and foreign vacations for at least a year to further conserve foreign exchange. Additionally, he advocated for reduced consumption of edible oils and chemical fertilizers, promoting natural farming and locally made products. Modi noted India's progress in solar energy and ethanol blending, which have helped the country navigate the global energy crisis more effectively. He offered the Union Government's full support to Telangana and invited Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to collaborate on developmental initiatives.
