The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of Wisconsin–Madison recently celebrated a successful academic year with its annual awards program. Faculty, staff, and graduate students were recognized for their significant contributions to the department's mission of innovation and excellence. Awards included the Gerald Holdridge Teaching Excellence Award, presented to Teaching Assistants Sharar Muhtasim, Yi-Hua Chung, Immanuel Williams, Eric Weber, and Subham Sabud for their outstanding instructional performance. The Harold Peterson Outstanding Dissertation Award was awarded to Samuel Belling and Md Abdullah-Al Kaiser for their original doctoral research, with Belling's thesis focusing on quantum transport in electronic systems.
