Jindal Steel, part of the Naveen Jindal Group, reported a consolidated net profit of ₹1,041 crore for the quarter ending March 2026, a remarkable recovery from a loss of ₹304 crore in the same quarter last year. The significant profit increase was driven by record sales, with total income rising 25% to ₹16,484.28 crore compared to ₹13,254.94 crore in Q4 of FY25. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, net profit surged fivefold from ₹189 crore in the previous quarter. For the entire financial year 2026, Jindal Steel's net profit climbed approximately 20% to ₹3,361 crore, up from ₹2,846 crore in FY25, while total income reached ₹53,553.14 crore, an increase from ₹49,932.48 crore the previous year. The company achieved its highest production levels, with a total of 9.25 million tonnes (MT) produced and 8.68 MT sold during FY26. Additionally, Jindal Steel announced a capital expenditure of ₹2,573 crore for the quarter and was declared the preferred bidder for the Thakurani A1 iron ore block, enhancing its iron ore security.
