In a country where board exam results are often linked to pressure, comparisons, and soaring expectations, a family in Mumbai chose to celebrate something they believed mattered far more i.e. their son’s happiness. A heart-warming video of the family throwing a surprise party for their son's 55% exam score is winning hearts across social media. And that's not all. It shows the student walking in, cutting the cake, amid cheers and claps from the family.As the video gained traction online, Ruksar Patel, a member of Zaid’s family who shared the clip online, explained the reason behind the celebration. “For me, my child’s 55 marks are greater than 95 or 85. Instead of scolding him or making him feel bad, I want to keep him happy so that he never feels less than anyone else. There are many parents who have lost their children after saying hurtful things like this,” she said.Social media reactionThe wholesome gesture struck a chord online, with many people saying encouragement from parents matters more than marks. The video drew mixed reactions on social media, with many users saying they loved the family’s heartwarming celebration.
