Hindustan Copper, a central public sector undertaking under India's Ministry of Mines, reported a remarkable 134.36% increase in consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter of FY26, amounting to ₹444.06 crore compared to ₹189.48 crore in Q4 FY25. The revenue from operations also saw a substantial rise, reaching ₹1,156.08 crore, which is a 58.06% increase year-on-year. The company's total expenses rose to ₹596.55 crore, up by 15%, driven primarily by a significant increase in other expenses (up 52.1%) and the cost of stores, spares, and tools consumed (up 80.2%). Additionally, profit before tax for the quarter stood at ₹592.21 crore, reflecting a 129.07% increase from ₹258.53 crore in the same quarter last year. For the fiscal year 2026, Hindustan Copper reported a total net profit of ₹920.66 crore, marking a 97% increase, while revenue from operations for the year was ₹3,077.92 crore, up 48.6% YoY. The stock price fell 5.97% to ₹570.35 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) following the announcement.
