Aster DM Healthcare reported an 18% increase in revenue for the fourth quarter, reaching ₹1,182 crore compared to the same period last year. The company's operating EBITDA, excluding the Kasaragod facility, surged by 31% to ₹253 crore, resulting in improved margins of 21.7%, up from 19.3% a year earlier. The growth was primarily driven by a 15% increase in total patient volumes and a 9% rise in average revenue per inpatient to ₹1.25 lakh. On a proforma basis, including the merger with Quality Care India Ltd (QCIL), Aster's combined revenue was ₹2,361 crore, also reflecting an 18% year-on-year growth. The merger, supported by investors like Blackstone, is expected to close in the first quarter of FY27, with 96.68% shareholder approval indicating strong confidence in the company's vision to create a large integrated healthcare platform. This combined entity is projected to operate over 10,600 beds across 28 cities in India, enhancing its competitive position in the healthcare sector.
