The resignation of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has stirred deep emotions in Mysuru, with local Congress leaders praising his unmatched contributions to the region's development. M. Lakshman, a KPCC spokesperson, emphasized that Siddaramaiah's vision led to significant advancements in health and education, highlighting that he allocated nearly ₹3,800 crore for Mysuru city and ₹11,000 crore for the district during his previous tenure from 2013 to 2018. Since returning to office in 2023, he has committed approximately ₹2,960 crore for both the city and district until March 2026. Lakshman noted the announcement of 48 schemes in a single budget as a record achievement. H.A. Venkatesh, another Congress leader, likened Siddaramaiah's contributions to those of D. Devaraj Urs, praising his initiatives like the Anna Bhagya scheme, which aimed to eliminate hunger. Venkatesh asserted that Siddaramaiah's governance model, which balances development and social welfare, will be remembered despite any opposition criticisms.
